community infections are rare. OBJECTIVE: To present a case study of community-acquired pneumonia and septic shock resulting from infection with Acinetobacter pittii and to investigate the diagnosis, clinical features and treatment of Acinetobacter pittii infection. METHODS: The clinical features and prognosis of patients with Acinetobacter pittii, infection were analyzed retrospectively. RESULTS: The sepsis caused by Acinetobacter pittii, was improved after treatment. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: Pneumonia caused by fully sensitive hypervirulent Acinetobacter pittii is rare, usually with acute course, severe illness and high mortality. It is necessary to identify the infectious agent as soon as possible, and early treatment can improve the success rate of treatment.
