In recent years, Vietnam's public debt ratio has gradually decreased, and state management of public debt has basically met the requirements set out by the government. In this paper, statistical methods were used to analyze the current public debt management and point out that Vietnam’s public debt ratio has gradually decreased over the years, thanks to the good management of the government. However, the public debt management system in Vietnam still has shortcomings and limitations. Based on the paper’s findings, four solutions were proposed, including: completing the legal corridor for borrowing and repaying public debt
continuing to restructure public debt
managing public debt
and strengthening inspection and supervision of the process of using loans.Trong những năm gần đây, tỷ lệ nợ công Việt Nam có xu hướng giảm dần và công tác quản lý nhà nước về nợ công cơ bản đáp ứng được yêu cầu Chính phủ đề ra. Bài viết sử dụng phương pháp thống kê và phân tích thực trạng quản lý nợ công cho thấy tỷ lệ nợ công giảm dần qua các năm, nhờ chính sách quản lý tốt từ Chính phủ. Tuy vậy, công tác này vẫn còn những bất cập, hạn chế. Từ đó, tác giả đề xuất 4 giải pháp, gồm: hoàn thiện hành lang pháp lý vay và trả nợ công, tiếp tục cơ cấu nợ công, quản lý nợ công và tăng cường kiểm tra giám sát quá trình sử dụng vốn vay.
