Reading culture and its development are of great concern to the society, especially to the students. Science and technology advancements and the rapid development of Internet have dramatically impacted lives, access to resources, and students' reading culture. The article presents overview on different methods to promote information - library activities with an aim to improve reading culture of students at Ha Tinh University, such as organizing Book Reading Day, Contest on thematic book presentation, student forums on reading culture, user conferences, information capacity training courses for users, information and information resources sharing via email.Văn hóa đọc và phát triển văn hóa đọc là vấn đề đang được xã hội quan tâm, đặc biệt đối với sinh viên. Trước những tiến bộ của khoa học và kỹ thuật công nghệ hiện đại, Internet phát triển mạnh mẽ đã tác động đến đời sống, tiếp cận đến các nguồn tin khác nhau và văn hóa đọc của sinh viên. Bài viết trình bày khái quát phương thức đa dạng hóa tuyên truyền hoạt động thông tin - thư viện nhằm nâng cao văn hóa đọc cho sinh viên Trường Đại học Hà Tĩnh, như tổ chức ngày hội đọc sách, thi thuyết trình sách theo chủ đề, diễn đàn sinh viên với văn hóa đọc, hội nghị bạn đọc, tập huấn năng lực thông tin cho người dùng tin, chia sẻ thông tin, tài nguyên thông tin qua thư điện tử.
