Bismuth-based photocatalysts proved to have remarkable photoactivity for antibiotic degradation from water. However, the two significant challenges of bismuth-based photocatalysts are the fast charge recombination rate and higher energy band gap. This study successfully synthesised a novel I-Bi/Bi
