We have previously demonstrated that chronic inhaled hypoxia is remarkably therapeutic in the premier animal model of mitochondrial Leigh syndrome, the Ndufs4 knockout (KO) mouse. Subsequent work has extended this finding to additional mitochondrial diseases and more common conditions.
