CASE: We report a rare case of successful reimplantation of a 35-cm extruded femoral bone segment, including the articular portion, following trauma, which is the largest reported reimplanted bone segment to date. Meticulous debridement and soaking in antibiotics prepared the bone for reimplantation and preserved the bone's osteoinductive properties, which may have played a role in structural and functional recovery. CONCLUSION: This case highlights the feasibility of reimplanting large bone segments with articular components, offering a viable approach for orthopaedic reconstructions.
