Alkaline proteases are crucial in the enzyme industry. The seaweed-associated strain Nocardiopsis dassonvillei strain VCs-4 produced a protease with the optimal activity of 362.97 U/mL under haloalkaliphilic conditions. Kinetic analysis revealed a Km of 0.17 mg/mL, Vmax of 1928 U/mL/min, and Kcat of 16.66 s
