This article presents issues related to building teaching strategies to develop critical thinking for 7th grade students in the process of teaching the topic "Metabolism and energy conversion" - Natural Science subject. Besides the design process, the article also mentions the manifestations and criteria for evaluating critical thinking capacity through skills suitable for 7th-grade students and the content and requirements of the topic.
