Commercial banks play a very important role in the stability and soundness of the corporate bond market. With functions such as issuers, investors, and service providers, commercial banks help increase supply and demand for the market and provide high-quality services. The paper focuses on evaluating the role of commercial banks in the corporate bond market in Vietnam and proposes solutions to strengthen the role of commercial banks in development of the corporate banking market in the coming years.Ngân hàng thương mại (NHTM) đóng vai trò hết sức quan trọng đối với sự phát triển ổn định, lành mạnh của thị trường trái phiếu Doanh nghiệp (TTTPDN) mỗi quốc gia. Với nhiều chức năng như nhà phát hành, nhà đầu tư, tổ chức cung ứng các dịch vụ, các NHTM vừa là người tạo cung, cầu cho thị trường, vừa là người cung ứng các dịch vụ chất lượng cao. Bài viết tập trung đánh giá vai trò của NHTM trên TTTPDN tại Việt Nam và đề xuất các giải pháp để phát huy vai trò của NHTM trong thúc đẩy phát triển ổn định và lành mạnh của TTTPDN.
