The article presents the application of the study of the sense of being alone in Truyen Kieu (Nguyen Du) to teaching reading comprehension for students in teaching Literature in the general education program. In the research and teaching of Truyen Kieu, there has been much discussion about the technique of Nguyen Du’s inner monologue and that is one of the manifestations of the sense of being alone.
