Virtual Reality (VR) technology is becoming an increasingly important part of education, especially in teaching English. By creating dynamic, interactive communication environments, VR helps English learners improve their communication skills in a natural, realistic, and engaging way. Advanced VR models today not only simulate scenarios but also provide opportunities for learners to interact with others, making learning intuitive and appealing. This paper discusses the application of VR platforms such as Google Expeditions, AltspaceVR, Immerse, and VirtualSpeech in English language teaching. Additionally, the paper examines the benefits, challenges, and practical applications of VR, demonstrating how it can serve as a comprehensive tool for developing students’ communication skills.
