This article analyzes current English testing models in education, pointing out the limitations of traditional methods such as being time-consuming, costly, lacking personalization, and not adequately reflecting students’ language proficiency. Traditional testing primarily focuses on each individual skill such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing without synthesizing them in real communication situations. To address these issues, the article proposes a new English testing model that leverages technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) and online testing systems, to personalize, reduce costs, and enhance accuracy in assessment. This model is designed to comprehensively evaluate all four skills and has the ability to automatically adjust the difficulty of tests based on the student’s level, creating fairer learning opportunities for all individuals. This article analyzes current English testing models in education, pointing out the limitations of traditional methods such as being time-consuming, costly, lacking personalization, and not adequately reflecting students’ language proficiency.
