In the academic year 2020-2021, the general education curriculum underwent significant adjustments in mathematics by incorporating probability and statistics to enhance practical application and real-world value. Probability and statistics became a mandatory component of the mathematics curriculum in secondary schools, tailored to the age and cognitive level of students. This necessitated changes in the teaching methods of probability and statistics at the university level to align with the requirements of educational reform and professional application. This study focused on evaluating the final exam scores of probability and statistics for nursing undergraduate students of the 17th cohort from August 2023 to December 2024. The results revealed a high proportion of satisfactory and excellent grades among the 17th cohort. Overall, the improvements in curriculum and teaching methods contributed to enhancing understanding and application of probability in analyzing real-world problems and professional settingsTrong năm học 2020-2021, chương trình giáo dục phổ thông đã thực hiện điều chỉnh đáng kể trong môn toán học bằng cách thêm xác suất thống kê nhằm tăng tính ứng dụng và giá trị thực tế. Xác suất thống kê đã trở thành một phần bắt buộc trong chương trình môn Toán ở trường phổ thông, với mức độ phù hợp với độ tuổi và trình độ của học sinh. Điều này đặt ra yêu cầu cần thay đổi phương pháp giảng dạy xác suất thống kê ở cấp độ đại học để phù hợp với yêu cầu của chương trình giáo dục cải cách và ứng dụng trong thực tiễn nghề nghiệp. Nghiên cứu này tập trung vào việc đánh giá điểm thi kết thúc môn xác suất thống kê của sinh viên đại học điều dưỡng khóa 17 trong khoảng thời gian từ tháng 8 năm 2023 đến tháng 12 năm 2024. Kết quả cho thấy tỷ lệ điểm khá và giỏi của sinh viên khóa 17. Tổng hợp, việc cải thiện chương trình và phương pháp giảng dạy đã góp phần nâng cao khả năng hiểu biết và áp dụng xác suất trong phân tích các bài toán thực tế cũng như trong công việc.
