New theoretical research on sovereignty over seas and islands and practice has proven that protecting the sovereignty of seas and islands of the Vietnamese nation is a profound lesson, from which it can be applied to teaching and learning as well as propagating students in preserving and promoting core values in protecting National sovereignty. Therefore, this article suggests some solutions for applying in teaching National Defense and Security subject with respect to sovereignty, seas and island protection.Những nghên cứu mới lý luận về chủ quyền Biển, đảo và thực tiễn đã chứng minh việc bảo vệ chủ quyền Biển, đảo của quốc gia Việt Nam là một bài học thật sâu sắc, từ đó áp dụng vào giảng dạy và tuyên truyền cho sinh viên trong việc giữ gìn và phát huy các giá trị cốt lõi trong việc bảo vệ chủ quyền Quốc gia. Chính vì vậy, bài viết này đã đề xuất một số biện pháp vận dụng vào giảng dạy môn Giáo dục quốc phòng và an ninh về nhiệm vụ bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo.
