Abstract: This article presents the relationship between folk beliefs and Buddhism in Gia Lâm District, Hanoi City, highlighting the local people's attention to their spiritual life. This is reflected in their understanding of the role of Buddhism and folk beliefs in their daily lives. It is also evident in the people's strong sense of preserving traditional customs and folk beliefs, as shown by their active participation in traditional festivals, ancestor worship, weddings, funerals, worship of the Mother Goddess, deities, saints, and national heroes... Especially, these rituals often involve the incorporation of Buddhist worship practices. This incorporation has created a colorful cultural mosaic deeply rooted in the Vietnamese national identity.
