Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang tại 8 tỉnh/thành trong cả nước nhằm tìm hiểu ý định tìm kiếm dịch vụ chẩn đoán sa sút trí tuệ của người dân. Kết quả cho thấy: Hầu hết người dân có ý định tìm kiếm dịch vụ chẩn đoán sa sút trí tuệ khi bản thân/người thân có biểu hiện lẫn lộn hoặc mất trí nhớ. Người dân có ý định lựa chọn bác sĩ chuyên khoa và tuyến trung ương/tuyến tỉnh cao hơn so với nhóm còn lại. Việc lựa chọn chuyên môn bác sỹ và tuyến cơ sở y tế có sự khác biệt theo một một số đặc điểm liên quan đến khả năng tiếp cận và khả năng chi trả (địa lý vùng miền, nơi sống, độ tuổi, học vấn, nghề nghiệp, dân tộc, thu nhập), và sự khác biệt có ý nghĩa thống kê. Các chương trình can thiệp góp phần nâng cao tỷ lệ phát hiện người mắc sa sút trí tuệ cần quan tâm đến ý định của cộng đồng, khả năng lựa chọn tuyến cơ sở y tế, chuyên môn của bác sĩ để có giải pháp phù hợp với từng nhóm dân cư.This cross-sectional descriptive study in 8 provinces/cities in Vietnam was conducted to understand people's intention to seek dementia diagnostic services. The results showed that most people intended to seek dementia diagnostic services when themselves or their relatives showed signs of confusion or memory loss. People preferred to choose specialists and central/provincial levels. The choice of doctor specialization and the level of healthcare facilities were related to accessibility and affordability (geographical region, place of residence, age, education, occupation, ethnicity, income), and these differences are statistically significant. Intervention programs aimed to increase the detection rate of people with dementia need to consider community intentions, the ability to choose healthcare facilities, and the expertise of doctors to have solutions suitable for each population group.
