Border demarcation is of paramount importance and significance for nations as it involves not only issues related to independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity but also pertains to the solidarity and friendship between neighboring countries. Understanding the importance of border demarcation, Vietnam and Cambodia have undertaken the task of demarcating the land border quite early. So far, 84% of the total border markers have completed marking. The new context which has multifaceted impacts on the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia has also had a considerable influence on the border demarcation between the two countries. Therefore, etiquettes both sides to continue their efforts to achieve the set goals, thus establishing a solid foundation to reinforce the relationship as “good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive and sustainable cooperation”.Phân giới cắm mốc biên giới là việc quan trọng và ý nghĩa đối với các quốc gia bởi vấn đề này không chỉ liên quan đến độc lập, chủ quyền, toàn vẹn lãnh thổ mà còn liên quan đến tình đoàn kết, hữu nghị giữa các quốc gia láng giềng. Hiểu rõ tầm quan trọng của phân giới cắm mốc biên giới quốc gia, Việt Nam và Campuchia đã tiến hành phân giới cắm mốc biên giới trên bộ từ rất sớm, đến nay đã hoàn thành tổng số mốc đã cắm là 84%. Đứng trước bối cảnh mới đã tác động nhiều chiều đến quan hệ Việt Nam và Campuchia, trong đó cũng sẽ ảnh hưởng không nhỏ đến việc phân giới, cắm mốc giữa hai nước. Vì vậy, đòi hỏi hai bên tiếp tục cố gắng để hoàn thành mục tiêu đề ra, tạo nền tảng vững chắc củng cố mối quan hệ “Láng giềng tốt đẹp, hữu nghị truyền thống, hợp tác toàn diện, bền vững lâu dài".
