Nghiên cứu này tìm hiểu nhận định củagiảng viên về việc triển khai chương trình tiếngAnh không chuyên trình độ A dưới hình thức trựctuyến đồng bộ tại trường Đại học Mở Tp.HCM.Phương pháp nghiên cứu là điều tra với sự thamgia của các giảng viên tham gia giảng dạy trựctruyến cho chương trình. Dữ liệu định lượng đượcthu thập qua phiếu điều tra với sự tham gia của tấtcả 23 giảng viên và dữ liệu định tính có được quaphỏng vấn 10 giảng viên. Kết quả phân tích chothấy giảng viên cho rằng chương trình có nhữngchuẩn bị khá tốt cho sinh viên tham gia khóa học,giảng viên và sinh viên có đủ năng lực và điều kiệnđể tham gia loại hình. Bên cạnh đó, giảng viên nêura những khó khăn liên quan đến việc dạy và họckĩ năng Nói và phát âm cũng như quản lí lớp. Cáckhó khăn này là do bản chất của hình thức dạy họctrực tuyến đồng bộ, do đường truyền từ phía sinhviên, do kĩ thuật, nổi bật là do ý thức học tập củamột số sinh viên chưa phù hợp với học trực tuyến.Giảng viên cũng đóng góp một số ý kiến về quyđịnh và thi cử cho các lớp tiếng Anh không chuyêndạng trực tuyến đồng bộ. Từ các kết quả trên,chúng tôi đưa ra một số giải pháp nhằm tăng cườnghiệu quả của chương trình.This study investigates lecturers' opinionson the non-major English program level A, which iscurrently being implemented in a synchronous onlinemode at Ho Chi Minh City Open University. A surveywas conducted with the participation of lecturers whoteach online for the program. Quantitative data werecollected through questionnaires with theparticipation of all 23 lecturers, and qualitative datawere obtained through interviews with 10 lecturers.The findings show that the lecturers believe that theprogram has prepared students quite well for thecourse and that both lecturers and students have thecapacity and conditions to participate in this type ofprogram. However, they still face various difficultieswhen teaching Speaking and Pronunciation skills aswell as classroom management. These difficulties aredue to the nature of synchronous online teaching, poorinternet connection from students, technical issues,and most notably, some students’ attitudes that are notsuitable for online learning. The lecturers alsocontributed some opinions on the regulations of theuniversity on students’ behavior and exams for nonmajor English classes in synchronous online mode.Based on the above results, we propose somesolutions to improve the effectiveness of the program
