English is becoming a popular language, widely used in many specific fields. Therefore, in addition to learning English for normal communication, students need to learn English for purposes. However, learning English for purposes was never easy because students always face many difficulties. On that account, the study entitled “Difficulties in Learning English for Specific Purposes of English-Majored Juniors at a university” was conducted. This study aims to find out the difficulties in learning English for purposes encountered by juniors. As a part of the study, 66 students from the course of English 16 were selected as participants. The questionnaire and the interview were employed as two primary research instruments to analyze mass data. The findings of the study demonstrated that English majored junior encountered certain difficulties in learning English for purposes such as vocabulary, materials, practice environment and the length of the course.
