The formation and development of competencies for learners through learning activities is a direction for educational innovation in the current period. For the training of physics teachers, the formation and development of the ability to use experiments in teaching is extremely necessary. This competency is formed and developed throughout the four years of students’ study, however, the course that plays the most important role is the “General Physics Experiment” course. The article clarifies the content of the concept of competence, the ability to use experiments in teaching, and the process of building and utilizing experimental films in education. We analyze the results of the pedagogical experiment process, evaluate the feasibility of the measures, and continue to adjust and improve the proposed process.The formation and development of competencies for learners through learning activities is a direction for educational innovation in the current period.
