The general education program for Literature issued by the Ministry of Education and Training in 2018 is built on the viewpoint of taking the training of communication skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) as the main axis throughout all three levels of education, thereby helping students comprehensively develop general and specialized competencies of the subject. In particular, speaking and listening skills are focused on as core skills to help students develop their ability to communicate, understand and express ideas.
