/f/ và /v/ và nguyên nhân gây ra vấn đề của sinh viên năm thứ nhất tại Trường Đại học Công nghiệp Hà Nội và Trường Cao đẳng Thủy lợi Bắc Bộ. Dữ liệu được thu thập qua việc phân tích các video bài nói hàng tuần của 45 sinh viên để tìm ra lỗi mà sinh viên mắc phải khi phát âm các phụ âm này, tiếp đó tác giả quan sát việc đọc từng từ riêng lẻ và cho sinh viên làm bảng câu hỏi điều tra để tìm ra các giải pháp phù hợp cho người học khắc phục những lỗi phát âm các cặp âm này. Phần lớn sinh viên đều bỏ qua phụ âm cuối và một số mắc lỗi tự thay thế âm. Vì vậy, cần có phương pháp phù hợp khắc phục các vấn đề gặp phải khi phát âm các phụ âm cuối cho sinh viên.Pronunciation plays a crucial role in teaching and learning English and this field has garnered significant attention f-rom scholars in Vietnam as well as around the world. The article addresses common errors in pronouncing final consonant clusters in English, specifically /s/ and /z/
/s/ and /ʃ/
/f/ and /v/, and the underlying reasons for these issues among first-year students at Hanoi University of Industry and Bacbo Water Resources College. Data were collected by analyzing weekly speaking video assignments of 45 students to identify the pronunciation errors which they made with these consonant clusters. Subsequently, the author observed the pronunciation of individual words and provided students with questionnaires to explore suitable solutions for learners to overcome these errors. The majority of students tend to omit ending consonants, while some other make in replacing them incorrectly. Therefore, an appropriate method is needed to address the challenges students face in pronouncing ending consonant clusters.
