The objective of this project was to develop and demonstrate zero emission capable heavy-duty electric truck technologies in real world drayage operations and assess its technical feasibility to support demanding drayage duty cycles. Further objectives of the project included the promotion and acceleration of market adoption of electric truck technologies in cargo transport operations, by engaging trucking fleets and end users in demonstrating ad experiencing these technologies first-hand. The project realized the development and demonstration of two battery-electric and two battery-electric hybrid platforms that advanced the technologies and demonstrated proof of concept.
