This final report presents the results of a three-year technology development project carried out by a team of participants sponsored by the Department of Energy (DOE). This is addressing the FOA Area of Interest 2: Enabling Combustion Technology. Specifically, the technology targets for flue gas water vapor latent heat recovery from pressurized oxy-coal combustion power plants. A pilot scale Transport Membrane Condenser (TMC) system has been developed, fabricated, integrated, and performance-tested in a pressurized oxy-coal pilot-scale combustion system to prove its effectiveness. We have evaluated its performance and analyzed the results for application to commercial-scale power plants. We expect the same technology to be also applicable to pressurized chemical looping combustion (CLC) flue gas, which has similar conditions.
