 Southern Company Services, Inc. has conducted a Reference Plant conceptual design for the Transport Integrated Gasification (TRIG?) IGCC technology. While the technical knowledge and cost data gathered from the Kemper County IGCC project provide a basis for this effort, this conceptual design incorporates cost improvements and commercially available technology advancements that are representative of a mature ?nth? TRIG? IGCC project. The design is based on an abundant, sub-bituminous coal feedstock, and includes two options for CO<

  capture. The resulting Reference Plant provides a basis for comparison with other technologies as a first step for evaluating the TRIG? IGCC technology.
