Summary: One of the most urgent issues in humanistic culture is the organization of a harmonious relationship between society and nature. Currently, humanity is striving to combat an invisible enemy that threatens itself, an enemy created by humans themselves. Exploiting and conquering nature and the environment mercilessly, humanity is waging a war against itself, as man and nature are interdependent entities within the Universe. Nature sternly warns humanity: it will no longer tolerate such treatment! Nature’s response is evident in the increasingly severe disasters created by humanity: earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, fires, tsunamis, soil degradation, desertification, epidemics etc. This paper will discuss ecological culture as a modern form of humanistic consciousness. Keywords: Ecological culture, ecological crisis, ecological ethics, humanism
