Annotation Over the past twenty years, European theater has undergone fundamental changes in terms of aesthetic focus, institutional structure, and place in society. The impetus for these developments came from a new generation. This book brings together studies on the state of independent theater in different European countries, focusing on dance and performance, children and youth theater, theater and migration, and post-migrant theater. Additionally, the book features essays on experimental musical theater and different cultural policies for independent theater scenes in a range of European countries.
