ABSTRACT This study surveyed 218 students from the faculties of Bac Lieu University to determine the current situation of scientific research among students in 2024. The results showed that 22% (47 students) believed that the activities of scientific research in studying is very important, 47% (103 students) important, 25% (54 students) uncertain, 3% (9 students) less important and 2% (5 students) not important. As a result, lack of awareness of its importance has recently led to limited participation in scientific research activities. The results also show that there are some difficulties affecting students' participation in scientific research activities. Thereafter, the article proposes a number of solutions for promoting scientific research activities among Bac Lieu University students in the coming time, contributing to developing comprehensive capacity for students as well as improving training quality. TÓM TẮT Nghiên cứu này khảo sát 218 SV thuộc các Khoa của Trường Đại học Bạc Liêu nhằm xác định thực trạng NCKH của SV năm 2024. Kết quả khảo sát cho thấy, 22% (47 SV) đã đánh giá hoạt động của NCKH trong học tập là rất quan trọng, 47% (103 SV) chọn mức quan trọng, 25% (54 SV) chọn mức phân vân, 3% (9 SV) chọn mức ít quan trọng và 2% (5 SV) chọn mức không quan trọng. Điều đó nói lên rằng, chưa có nhận thức đúng đắn về tầm quan trọng, dẫn đến kết quả tham gia hoạt động NCKH của SV thời gian qua còn thấp. Kết quả khảo sát còn cho thấy có một số khó khăn ảnh hưởng đến việc tham gia hoạt động NCKH của SV. Từ kết quả khảo sát, bài viết đề xuất một số giải pháp nhằm thúc đẩy hoạt động NCKH của SV Trường Đại học Bạc Liêu trong thời gian tới, góp phần phát triển năng lực toàn diện cho SV cũng như nâng cao chất lượng đào tạo của Trường.
