Đổi mới căn bản, toàn diện giáo dục và đào tạo là yêu cầu cần thiết và cấp bách để khắc phục những hạn chế, yếu kém về giáo dục, đáp ứng yêu cầu xây dựng và bảo vệ Tổ quốc trong tình hình mới. Riêng đối với giáo dục đại học, mục tiêu đào tạo đáp ứng nhu cầu xã hội đang là vấn đề bức xúc của xã hội. Bài viết đề xuất định hướng đổi mới mục tiêu, nhiệm vụ và giải pháp phát triển trường Đại học Phú Yên nhằm thực hiện có hiệu quả mục tiêu đào tạo đáp ứng nhu cầu xã hội nói riêng và chủ trương đổi mới căn bản, toàn diện giáo dục và đào tạo của Đảng. As for higher education, orientating the training targets to meet the social requirements is currently an urgent issue of the society. The article proposes some orientations for renovating the targets, duties and remedies for the development of Phu Yen University, aiming at effectively implementing the training targets to meet the social requirements in particular and the Party’s guidelines of fundamental, all round renovation of education and training in general.
