In this work, MnO2/carbon nanotube (CNT) nanocomposite is synthesized by chemical depositionmethod. Electrochemical properties of the synthesized material was studied using cyclic voltammetry(CV) in 1 M Na2SO4 aqueous electrolyte that showed a high specific capacitance of 236.64 Fg-1. Inaddition, the synthesized nanomaterial showed a good reversibility and cycling stability. After 500 cycletests, material maintain 78.14% of its initial specific capacitance. The MnO2/CNT nanocomposite makesit promising as an electrode material for supercapacitors.Keywords: supercapacitor, manganese dioxide, carbon nanotube
