In recent years, the role of library and information centers have beenincreasingly appreciated and developed. Library is considered the key to openthe door to enter the knowledge treasure of humanity. During the boomingperiod of information explosion, the amount of newly generated informationincreased significantly, not daily but hourly. Also, the number of newly publisheddocuments has increased dramatically, not only in terms of content and subjectsbut also in various forms. Therefore, the problem for libraries is to have the rightorientation in the development of information resources, in order to enrich andupdate the information resources, meeting the requirments of users. In thisarticle, the authors present a study on the current status of the Library andInformation Center of the Hanoi University of Industry. We also assess thedevelopment of information resources at the Center, based on which propose anumber of solutions to develop information resources at the Library andInformation Center of the Hanoi University of Industry.Trong những năm gần đây, hoạt động Thông tin - Thư viện đang ngày càngđược coi trọng và phát triển, Thư viện được coi là chìa khóa giúp chúng ta mởcánh cửa để bước vào kho tàng tri thức của nhân loại. Trong thời kỳ bùng nổthông tin đang diễn ra mạnh mẽ, lượng thông tin mới được sản sinh tăng lênđáng kể, không phải hằng ngày mà hằng giờ. Cũng như vậy số lượng tài liệu mớiđược xuất bản cũng tăng lên rất nhiều, không những đa dạng về nội dung, mônloại mà còn phong phú về hình thức. Vì vậy, vấn đề đặt ra cho các thư viện là phảiđịnh hướng đúng trong công tác phát triển nguồn lực thông tin, nhằm làm chonguồn lực thông tin được phong phú, cập nhật và đáp ứng được nhanh chóng,kịp thời và đúng đắn yêu cầu thông tin của người dùng tin trong thư viện. Trongbài báo này, nhóm tác giả trình bày nghiên cứu về thực trạng công tác phát triểnnguồn lực thông tin tại Trung tâm Thông tin - Thư viện Trường Đại học Côngnghiệp Hà Nội. Đánh giá công tác phát triển nguồn lực thông tin tại Trung tâm,trên cơ sở đó đề xuất một số giải pháp phát triển nguồn lực thông tin tại Trungtâm Thông tin - Thư viện Trường Đại học Công nghiệp Hà Nội.
