Đặc tính phân tầng nồng độ mặn của một cửa sông phụ thuộc vào chế độ dòng chảy sông và dòng chảy thủy triều. Do đó ở mỗi cửa sông khác nhau đặc tính phân tầng mặn sẽ khác nhau phụ thuộc vào các yếu tố địa hình, thủy văn (lưu lượng thượng nguồn, thủy triều ngoài biển, nhập lưu dòng chảy dọc sông…). Xâm nhập mặn tại một cửa sông được phân làm ba dạng chính: 1) xáo trộn hoàn toàn
2) bán phân tầng và 3) phân tầng mạnh tạo hình dạng “nêm mặn”. Nội dung bài báo này trình bày kết quả nghiên cứu, mô phỏng về đặc tính xâm nhập mặn tại vùng cửa sông Hậu bằng mô hình toán 3 chiều (3D)The salinity stratification characteristic of an estuary depends on the river flows and tidal currents regime. That is therefore, the characteristics of each river differ, salinity stratification characteristic will be different depending on topographical and hydrological factors (upstream flow, sea tide, affluent flow along the river ...). Saline intrusion at an estuary is divided into three main types that are: completely disturbed, semi-stratified and strongly stratified (forming saline wedges). This paper has presented the study results and the simulation of the saline zone to understand and have the overall of the characteristics of saline intrusion in the Hau estuary by 3D mathematical model.
