High-achievement sport has an intimate relationship and is an integral part of a society aswell as a nation. The value of high-achievementsport is not only expressed in the purpose of theparticipants (athletes) but also of many otherindividuals (coaches, doctors, managers...) or thecollective body (the team, managing body,audiences...). It shows national pride or politicalaspirations through international and friendlycompetitions. Therefore, high-achievement sporthas significant value to mankind and society, whichis reflected in many fields: education, economy,politics, social culture. Especially in the contextof our country's socio-economic developmentnowadays.Thể thao thành tích cao có mối quan hệ mậtthiết và là một bộ phận không thể thiếu của mộtxã hội cũng như của một quốc gia. Giá trị của thểthao thành tích cao không chỉ thể hiện ở mục đíchcủa bản thân người tham gia (VĐV) mà còn củanhiều cá nhân khác (HLV, bác sĩ, cán bộ quản lý…)hay của tập thể (đội tuyển, cơ quan quản lý, khángiả…). Nó thể hiện cho ý thức tự tôn dân tộc haynguyện vọng chính trị của quốc gia thông qua cácgiải thi đấu quốc tế, giao hữu. Chính vì vậy thểthao thành tích cao có giá trị rất to lớn đối với loàingười và xã hội được thể hiện ở nhiều lĩnh vực:giáo dục, kinh tế , chính trị , văn hóa xã hội. Đặcbiệt là trong điều kiện phát triển kinh tế xã hộinước ta hiện nay.
