Các quan điểm về hình phạt chính và hình phạt bổ sung tại một số nước trên thế giới hiện có nhiều chiều hướng thay đổi thể hiện thông qua những quy định mới và khác biệt so với Bộ luật Hình sự (BLHS) Việt Nam. Bài viết tập trung phân tích về cơ sở lý luận của việc phân loại hình phạt chính, hình phạt bổ sung áp dụng đối với người phạm tội. Đồng thời thông qua kinh nghiệm lập pháp học hỏi trong pháp luật từ một số quốc gia trên thế giới, bài viết đưa ra một số kiến nghị nhằm hoàn thiện pháp luật Việt Nam về nội dung này.The views on primary sentences and additional sentences in some countries around the world currently have many trends of change, reflected in new and different regulations compared to the Penal Code of Vietnam. The article focuses on analyzing the theoretical basis of the classification of primary and additional sentences applied to offender, and through the legislative experience learned in the law from a number of countries around the world, it makes some recommendations to improve the Vietnamese law on this content.
