Childlessness brings about many stressful, painful, and distressing experiences for someone who is infertile. This study analysed the stress levels of 395 infertile men (with a mean age of 33.1 years
Standard Deviation (SD) = 4.98 in the three major cities of Hanoi, Đà Nẵng, and Hồ Chí Minh City with a marriage duration from over one to 25 years (with a mean duration of marriage being 5.27 years
SD = 3.84). The main methods of study were literature reviews and surveys using the Fertility Problem Inventory (FPI) questionnaire. The results of the research show that infertile men experience moderate stress. The highest area of stress is in the need to have children while the lowest stress is in sex life. The results also show the difference in the level of psychological stress of infertile men by survey location, place of residence, and education level.
