Concentration of selenium (Se), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), magnesium (Mg), manganese (Mn) in blood of patients with respiratory disease were determined by method of inductively Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) after sample digestionin a close container in a microwareoven. The result of Se, Cu, Zn, Mg and Mn (ppm) are in the range of 0.0122 – 2.0865, 0.2329 – 1.5815, 1.9094 – 13.0964, 4.3917 –19.1262 and 0.0430 – 0.5703. The detection limits are 0.3870 (ppt) for Se and 0.003
0.045
0.0042
0.0045 (ppt) for Cu, Zn, Mg, Mn respectively. The relative standard deviation (%RSD) of 10 replicated measurement is less than 6%. The recovery range of element is 50,83% to 108,35%. The accuracy of the result shown in the repeatability and recovery performance is ensured according to AOAC.
