Tho Son village - Hon Đat district - Kien Giang province has a diverse andabundant plant resources. The mountainous vegetation has created many natural landscapesand these forests are resident to a variety of rare and precious forest animals and plants.From September 2021 to July 2022, the research team have established six survey routesto diversify species composition. 291 medicinal species belong to 234 genera, 88 families,2 divisio of vascular plants that are Polypodiophyta and Magnoliophyta have beenidentified. Seven of the identified species are listed in Medicinal plants in Vietnam's RedList", "Vietnam Red Book” (2007) and four medicinal plants are listed in the Decree84/2021/ND-CP which is mentioned the limitation of exploitation and trade for commercialpurposes for the flora of special use.Xã Thổ Sơn - huyện Hòn Đất - tỉnh Kiên Giang có nguồn tài nguyên thực vậttương đối đa dạng và phong phú. Thảm thực vật đồi núi nơi đây đã tạo nên nhiều cảnh quanthiên nhiên rất đặc sắc và là nơi sinh sống của các loài động vật và thực vật tương đối đadạng và quý hiếm. Trong thời gian từ tháng 09 năm 2021 đến tháng 07 năm 2022 nhómnghiên cứu dược liệu đã thiết lập 6 tuyến điều tra đa dạng thành phần loài. Kết quả đã xácđịnh được 291 loài có giá trị làm thuốc thuộc 234 chi, 88 họ, 2 ngành thực vật bậc cao cómạch là ngành Dương xỉ (Polypodiophyta) và ngành Ngọc lan (Magnoliophyta). Có 7 loàicó tên trong danh lục của Sách Đỏ Việt Nam (2007) và 4 loài cây thuốc nằm trong Nghịđịnh 84/2021/NĐ-CP nhằm hạn chế khai thác, buôn bán vì mục đích thương mại cho khuhệ thực vật rừng.
