The current situation in Art field in Vietnam in recent years is that the role of curator has appeared in a number of fine art exhibitions in general and visual art exhibitions in particular. Perhaps it is time for Vietnamese fine arts to affirm the role of curator in connecting society and art. Faced with the increasing requirements of people and society in the integration period, the curatorial profession plays an important role in the management and organization of exhibitions. At the same time, it is a flexible bridge to receive and spread knowledge about artrelated fields. In fact, curator is not considered a profession. Some curators are sometimes art managers and even exhibition operators. Therefore, in the current context, Vietnam urgently needs a team of professional curators who meet the criteria of being an art sponsoring institution at schools, museums, art centers or galleries. That is also the content of the article that initially outlines solutions to develop the profession and the curatorial team in order to bring innovation and professionalization to contemporary art of Vietnam in the integration period.Thực trạng ở Việt Nam những năm gần đây trong một số các triển lãm mỹ thuật nói chung, triển lãm nghệ thuật thị giác nói riêng đã xuất hiện vai trò của giám tuyển (curator). Có lẽ đã đến lúc mỹ thuật Việt Nam cần khẳng định vai trò của giám tuyển với việc kết nối xã hội và nghệ thuật. Trước yêu cầu thực trạng ngày càng cao của con người với xã hội thời kỳ hội nhập thì nghề giám tuyển đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc quản lý, tổ chức triển lãm. Đồng thời là cầu nối linh hoạt đón nhận và lan tỏa những kiến thức về các lĩnh vực liên quan đến nghệ thuật. Trên thực tế việc hình thành đội ngũ giám tuyển còn tự phát, có khi là người quản lý mỹ thuật, có khi là người điều hành cuộc triển lãm nào đó. Vì vậy, trước bối cảnh hiện nay Việt Nam rất cần có đội ngũ giám tuyển chuyên nghiệp đáp ứng tiêu chí là một thiết chế bảo trợ nghệ thuật tại các trường học, bảo tàng, trung tâm nghệ thuật hay các gallery. Đó cũng chính là nội dung bài viết bước đầu phác thảo giải pháp phát triển nghề và đội ngũ giám tuyển nhằm đưa đến cho nghệ thuật đương đại Việt Nam sự đổi mới và chuyên nghiệp hóa trong thời kỳ hội nhập.
