Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is a popular crop in the Cucurbit family (Cucurbitaceae), which is an important commercial fruit vegetable and has become a popular food worldwide. It is one of the vegetables with high nutritional content. Cucumbers are sold almost all around the year, both fresh, preserved and prepared. In addition to eating fresh fruit, it is also processed into many types such as sourdough, salted salt, salad mix…, serving the needs of domestic consumption and export. The experiment was conducted to study the effect of planting density on the growth and development of Japanese cucumber variety in Cho Moi district, Bac Kan province. The results showed that formula 4 (with planting density 40 x 80 cm) gave the best growth and development criteria: the height after 38 days reached 220,67 cm
the fruiting rate was 68,19%
had 11,72 fruits
the average fruit weight was 414,41 gram and the yield was 121,25 tons/ha.Dưa chuột (Cucumis sativus L.) là loại cây trồng phổ biến trong họ bầu bí (Cucurbitaceae), là loại rau ăn quả thương mại quan trọng và trở thành loại thực phẩm phổ biến trên thế giới. Ngoài việc ăn quả tươi, nó còn được chế biến thành nhiều loại như muối chua, muối mặn, hỗn hợp salad..., phục vụ nhu cầu tiêu dùng trong nước và xuất khẩu. Nghiên cứu được tiến hành nhằm đánh giá ảnh hưởng của mật độ trồng đến sinh trưởng, phát triển của cây dưa chuột giống Nhật Bản được trồng tại huyện Chợ Mới, tỉnh Bắc Kạn. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, công thức 4 (với mật độ trồng 40 x 80 cm) cho các chỉ tiêu về sinh trưởng, phát triển tốt nhất, cụ thể: chiều cao cây sau 38 ngày đạt 220,67 cm
tỉ lệ đậu quả đạt 68,19%, có trung bình 11,72 quả/cây, khối lượng trung bình quả đạt 414,41 gram và năng suất thực thu cao nhất đạt 121,25 tấn/ha.
