Recently, due to the influence of climate change, weather events occur irregularly, this change will strongly affect and have a profound impact on related socio-economic sectors, people's lives, as well as the sustainability of crops and livestock for Kien Giang province in particular and Vietnam in general. Therefore, it is necessary to assess the development of rain and temperature changes. Based on the statistical method, the linear function y = Ao + A1t, the series of temperature and precipitation data in the past 30 years (from 1992–2022), to evaluate the spatial distribution of annual variables of the region, the variation of rain, temperature by season, year, month, day and trend over decades. The results show the strong variation of climate in the region. Although the measurement is generally averagely referable, they also provide general insights. They form the premise to evaluate the occurrence of annual climate irregularity. With the increase in temperature, decrease in rainfall in Tho Chu area, and the increase in rainfall in Phu Quoc and Rach Gia areas, it is showed that the severity of the weather tends to unstoppable. The research results have contributed to the database in the field of meteorology and climate in Kien Giang.Trong những năm gần đây do ảnh hưởng của BĐKH các hiện tượng thời tiết diễn ra bất thường không theo quy luật của khí hậu, sự thay đổi này sẽ ảnh hưởng và tác động mạnh mẽ đến các ngành kinh tế–xã hội có liên quan, đời sống người dân, cũng như cây trồng và vật nuôi đối với tỉnh Kiên Giang nói riêng và Việt Nam nói chung. Vì thế, việc đánh giá xu thế biến đổi mưa, nhiệt độ là điều cần thiết. Dựa trên phương pháp thống kê, hàm tuyến tính y = Ao+ A1t, chuỗi số liệu nhiệt độ, lượng mưa trong 30 năm qua (từ năm 1992–2022), để đánh giá phân bố theo không gian các biến trình năm của vùng, sự biến đổi của mưa, nhiệt độ theo mùa, năm, tháng, ngày và xu thế qua từng thập kỷ. Kết quả cho ta thấy được sự biến động mạnh mẽ của khí hậu trong vùng. Mặc dù những quy luật mang tính trung bình, chỉ mới cho ta những nhận thức khái quát. Chính đặc điểm này là tiền đề để đánh giá sự xuất hiện những dị thường khí hậu hàng năm. Với sự tăng của nhiệt độ, giảm về lượng mưa khu vực Thổ Chu, tăng lượng mưa khu vực Phú Quốc và Rạch Giá, cho ta thấy được khắc nghiệt của thời tiết đang có xu hướng tăng lên. Kết quả nghiên cứu đã đóng góp thêm vào cơ sở dữ liệu trong lĩnh vực khí tượng khí hậu ở Kiên Giang.
