From June 2016 at the northern beach of Quy Nhon, after a sea encroachment project in Mui Tan area, black mud pollution appeared, greatly affecting the environment and tourism activities, swimming. Not only that, this project has affected the erosion of the coastline about 300m long (from the end of the beach to the south), only in the period 2016-2019, the beach has been eroded on average about 12m-15m, the largest is about 25m, causing the section of Xuan Dieu road in this area to be seriously threatened, there has been a situation of subsidence and deviation of the embankment footing system. Therefore, in 2017, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee carried out a research task to find out the cause of the appearance of black mud at Quy Nhon beach, thereby proposing solutions to reduce pollution and prevent erosion. shoreline is threatened. The research results have shown the causes and the proposed solutions have been applied in practice (construction in 2019-2020). The article will summarize some results of the research task and evaluate the effectiveness of the solution since its operation until now.Khoảng thời gian từ 6/2016 tại bãi biển phía Bắc của Quy Nhơn, sau khi có công trình lấn biển tại khu vực Mũi Tấn đã xuất hiện hiện tượng ô nhiễm bùn đen, ảnh hưởng rất lớn đến môi trường và hoạt động du lịch, tắm biển. Không những vậy, công trình này đã tác động gây xói lở đoạn bờ biển dài khoảng 300m (từ sát cuối bãi lấn biển về phía Nam), chỉ tính trong giai đoạn 2016-2019 bãi đã bị xói vào trung bình khoảng 12-15m, lớn nhất đạt khoảng 25m, khiến cho đoạn đường Xuân Diệu tại khu vực này bị đe dọa nghiêm trọng, đã xuất hiện tình trạng sụt lún và xô lệch hệ thống chân kè bờ. Chính vì vậy, năm 2017, UBND tỉnh Bình Định đã thực hiện một nhiệm vụ nghiên cứu nhằm tìm ra nguyên nhân xuất hiện bùn đen ở bãi biển Quy Nhơn, từ đó đề xuất giải pháp để giảm thiểu ô nhiễm và chống xói lở cho đoạn bờ đang bị đe dọa. Kết quả nghiên cứu đã chỉ ra nguyên nhân và giải pháp đề xuất đã được ứng dụng vào thực tế (thi công năm 2019-2020). Bài báo sẽ tóm lược lại một số kết quả của nhiệm vụ nghiên cứu và đánh giá về hiệu quả của giải pháp kể từ khi đi vào hoạt động cho đến nay.
