The authors performed descriptive and contrastive analytic methods in this study,and they distributed surveys, observations, data selection, and processing are all used in thisstudy a questionnaire containing open and closed ended questions to over than 100 Englishmajors at Hanoi Metropolitan University. This study will compare Vietnamese intonation andEnglish intonation briefly, as well as highlight some difficulties Vietnamese speakers are likelyto face when learning English due to differences between these two language intonations, andwill offer some implications for teaching and learning English intonation for teachers,HNMU’s English major students, and Vietnamese EFL learners.
