In order to catch up with the general trend of the world customs, and to facilitate cross-bordertrade between Vietnam and its partners, Vietnamese customs is drastically implementing the digitaltransformation process. Using an analysis-synthesis method based on domestic and foreign secondary datasources, the article has comprehensively assessed the digital transformation conducted by the Vietnamesecustoms authority from 2014 to 2022. In particular, the article (1) reviews the important milestones
(2)analyzes and evaluates in detail the achievements and limitations in the progress towards the goal ofdigitization
(3) makes some recommendations to the competent authority to help overcome the remaininglimitations and to promote the digital transformation of Vietnamese customs.Nhằm bắt kịp xu thế chung của hải quan thế giới, đồng thời tạo thuậnlợi thương mại xuyên biên giới giữa Việt Nam và các nước đối tác, hải quanViệt Nam đang mạnh mẽ triển khai quá trình chuyển đổi số. Sử dụng phươngpháp phân tích- tổng hợp dựa trên nguồn tài liệu thứ cấp trong và ngoài nước,bài viết đã đánh giá toàn diện quá trình chuyển đổi số ngành Hải quan ViệtNam từ năm 2014 đến năm 2022, cụ thể: (1) điểm lại những cột mốc quantrọng
(2) phân tích, đánh giá thành tựu đạt được, khó khăn trong tiến trình hảiquan Việt Nam hướng tới mục tiêu số hóa
(3) một số khuyến nghị tới cơ quancó thẩm quyền giúp khắc phục những hạn chế còn tồn tại cũng như thúc đẩyquá trình chuyển đổi số của ngành Hải quan Việt Nam.
