Abstract: The article deals with the influential relationship between language and culture. This is clearly shown in the process of teaching Vietnamese to Laotian students. In order to have good Vietnamese communication skills, Lao students have to go through a rigorous study process. Children's ability to listen, speak, read and write Vietnamese will become more complete when they are equipped with understandings of Vietnamese culture. At the same time, to be effective in the teaching process, teachers also need to pay attention to the cultural identity of the Lao people. Because it will directly affect their Vietnames learning process.
