Abstract: The article mentions measures to organize activities of forming number symbols and counting for 3-4 year old children in preschool. Research results show that preschool children have initially noticed the number of elements of a set, recognizing common signs of a set. However, at this age, children do not have long-term general attention, get bored very quickly and forget quickly. Research results also prove that if teachers organize appropriate and oriented activities, they will improve the effectiveness of forming symbols about sets, numbers and counting in particular, forming mathematical symbols. learning in general, thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of the child care and education process in preschool.
