The comprehensive renewal, improvement, and modernization of the national financial system are urgently needed. The State Treasury, with its assigned functions and duties, plays a positive role in promoting the sustainable development of the national financial system and ensuring the resources for the state to maintain socio-economic development. This reality calls for specific and effective solutions to achieve the goals of the digital State Treasury. This is also a prerequysite to ensure the implementation of the e-government goals, which serve as the foundation for the national digital transformation strategy.The article aims to study the theoretical basis of the digital State Treasury, including crucial content regarding the overall architecture of the digital State Treasury model, the conditions for the formation of the digital State Treasury, the initial digital transformation results of the State Treasury of Vietnam, and some recommendations for the development of the digital State Treasury.Yêu cầu đổi mới, hoàn thiện, hiện đại hóa toàn diện nền tài chính quốc gia đang thực sự bức thiết. Kho bạc Nhà nước (KBNN) với chức năng nhiệm vụ được giao có tác dụng tích cực thúc đẩy sự phát triển bền vững của nền tài chính quốc gia, đảm bảo nguồn lực để Nhà nước duy trì sự phát triển kinh tế - xã hội. Thực tế đó đặt ra yêu cầu cần phải có các giải pháp cụ thể, hiệu quả nhằm hướng tới đạt được mục tiêu KBNN số. Đây cũng là điều kiện tất yếu để đảm bảo thực hiện mục tiêu Chính phủ điện tử, là nền tảng thực hiện chiến lược Chuyển đổi số quốc gia. Bài báo với mục tiêu nghiên cứu cơ sở lý luận về KBNN số bao gồm các nội dung trọng yếu về kiến trúc tổng thể mô hình KBNN số, các điều kiện hình thành KBNN số, những kết quả ban đầu chuyển đổi số của KBNN Việt Nam và một số khuyến nghị để phát triển KBNN số.
