Protestantism currently has more than one millionbelievers in Vietnam, operates in 63 provinces and cities ofthe country with more than 90 different organizations,denominations, and groups. Since its inception, theDemocratic Republic of Vietnam has enacted andimplemented policies on religion, which include aspects ofreligious equality. However, the legal framework for theactivities of religions, including Protestantism, has been moreeffective complete since the Ordinance on Beliefs andReligions in 2004

Law on Beliefs and Religions in 2018,along with the Decree guiding the implementation (Decree162/2017 NĐ-CP dated December 30th, 2017 by theGovernment). This paper presents the awareness, attitudes,and activities of Protestant dignitaries in Vietnam regardingthe promulgation and implementation of policies and laws ofreligion and religious equality of the Communist Party ofVietnam and the State in the past and at present.
