Scholars highly advocate collaborative writing, the process by which two or more people work together from start to finish, to produce a single piece, because peer engagement in completing written tasks can facilitate students’ foreign language learning. Recently, this method of instruction has been promoted in writing courses at universities. However, this method is still relatively new among some of An Giang University’s English teachers. As a result, this paper aims to elaborate on the significance of collaborative writing, typical strategies, and procedures for collaborative writing instructions, as well as to present some feasible solutions to implementing this writing method in integrated reading and writing courses.
