Listening is a language skill that plays a key role in obtaining information or knowledge. Understanding a target language is one of the most difficult tasks for foreign language learners. Language educators acknowledge that this is an important skill in second language learning and encourage language teachers to spend more classroom time on listening activities. Listening comprehension allows learners to react quickly in a communication, perform other language-related tasks such as speaking, reading, and writing.
