Declassification of records is an urgent task of Archival Institutions to improve declassification of records so that agencies, organizations and individuals can widely access information from declassification. Currently, declassification of records is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law on Archives 2011, Law on Protection of State Secrets 2018 and sub-law documents. The current regulations reveal many limitations and have not created an adequate legal basis to improve declassification of records. Within the scope of this article, we assesses current situation and proposes recommendations to finalize regulations on declassification and declassification of recordsGiải mật tài liệu lưu trữ là một nhiệm vụ cấp thiết của các cơ quan lưu trữ để phát huy giá trị tài liệu lưu trữ
giúp cơ quan, tổ chức và cá nhân được tiếp cận rộng rãi thông tin từ tài liệu lưu trữ. Hiện nay, công tác giải mật tài liệu lưu trữ thực hiện theo quy định của Luật Lưu trữ năm 2011, Luật Bảo vệ Bí mật Nhà nước năm 2018 và các văn bản dưới luật. Quy định của pháp luật hiện hành đã bộc lộ nhiều hạn chế, chưa tạo cơ sở pháp lý đầy đủ để phát huy giá trị tài liệu lưu trữ. Trong phạm vi bài viết này, chúng tôi đánh giá thực trạng và đề xuất kiến nghị hoàn thiện pháp luật về giải mật, giải mật tài liệu lưu trữ
